PRINCE2 and PMI's definitive publication PMBoK are complementary (PRINCE2 says so). PMI is (in New Zealand) the body for professional project managers should below to providing you with networking and continuing education through monthly (mostly) regional events, conferences and seminars. Pete, Lewis, Geoff and I have all spoken at PMI events and conferences over the past 2 years. Paul has maintained PMI's PMP (Project Management Professional of good standing) certification for the past 15 years and is a fully paid up member.

MSP® i.e. Programme Management
|
If you are looking to populate your programme with good project managers then looking for those with combined PRINCE2 and PMP certification will be a good start. If is going to be easier for you if they are competent and know the full toolset. PMI does have it's own Program (US spelling) guide and a certification for Program managers. Watch their schedule of events for topics relevant to programmes.

Better Business Cases (BBC)
|
BBC is an interest area for PMI and we have had multiple speaking opportunities with them with Lewis speaking to the PMI Wellington again this year. While the earlier version of BBC suggested PRINCE2 we suggest a robust project management approach and project managers are interested in projects which are setup to succeed.
