Lewis is the most experienced BBC trainer in Australasia, having trained over 600 Public and private sector practitioners and reviewers on how to best apply the Better Business Cases methodology.

Lewis is an endorsed BBC Expert Practitioner and Reviewer. He is an internationally registered BBC practitioner and trainer as well as being an experienced Investment Management Standard (ILM) facilitator.
Lewis has over 18 years of experience developing, negotiating and assessing spending proposals and business cases in the wider Public sector. Prior to setting up his own consulting practice, Lewis had roles as an investment manager for the Tertiary Education Commission and as a senior analyst at the Treasury working across a number of sector portfolios.
In the first half of 2010, Lewis led the project team to develop the Better Business Cases guidance for the Treasury. This guidance was first released in July 2010 and is mandatory for all capital expenditure proposals by state sector agencies that require ministerial approval. Lewis has since been heavily involved in supporting the adoption of the Better Business Cases process in New Zealand, including training over 600 practitioners and reviewers. Since 2015 Lewis has been providing training through Project Results and has run more than 15 courses at Foundation and Practitioner level and on the application within New Zealand.
